Thanksgiving

This year for thanksgiving we went to Vegas to celebrate with my family. The week before though, Ashley and Mike came up from AZ to visit. It was great to see them and hang out together. We all were hoping emily would have her baby a little early so we could all be there to meet her, but instead she came the day after we all left and Rylee arrived on thanksgiving day.

Thanksgiving was great this year. Cord and my dad got to go golfing a few times and went to a UNLV game. The ladies cooked all day wednesday and thursday, my sister CC especially getting a little fancy with her desserts. We went over early thanksgiving day to visit my Dads side of the family. It was good to see my family. My cousin wendy was there with her 10 month old little girl Sophia. Gage loves to mawl Sophias face, and she is very calm about it. This time he got too excited and just lunged for her and tried to eat her face.
For our thanksgiving my sister CC invited her friend and her kids over and my grandma and cousin came it was very nice. It was great to be with family, we missed my sister kennedy and her family though, they couldnt make it down from Nebraska.
That night we all geared up for black friday shopping. At 9:30 we went to walmart and got there just in time since people started ripping things open way before they should have. We started grabbing movies all we could. i ran for the back to find the WII's and TVs my mom wanted. Meg got there when i did and hse stayed in line while I ran to grab all the other items we had on our list. We ended up getting everything we wanted, with only a little violence involved. After walmart we went to target to get a playstation and a few more toys and such. We got home around 2:30 exhausted and loaded with gifts. It was a lot of fun! Cord had to leave saturday to be back for his final. The kids and I got to stay and hang out for the week. We got to go to the relief society christmas party and see my mom and sister sing. It was a great week.

Halloween

Halloween this year was pretty fun. Cord was on a fire ride, and Ransom and Katie were nice enough to invite us trick or treating with them, so we went with them on halloween. At first the kids got to give out candy to trick or treaters, and they loved it! They ran to the door everytime the doorbell rang. =) When it was time to trick or treat the kids ran out eagerly and ran up to the first door. Ave got a little nervous but after the first door she was on the go. We could barely catch up with them they ran from door to door so fast. We went for about an hour and a half before Ave anounced, "Im done." She was ready to go home but a few more houses needed to be hit for friends to see Costumes and every house she had to get up there when the other kids said trick or treat. After the trick or treating we went back to the Birrels and had some dinner and treats. The kids played together for a bit and then it was time for bed so we packed up and went home. All in all it was a great night. We missed Dad, but he got to go to the trunk or treat so he didnt miss much!

In other news Avery is still as crazy as usual. She cant wait for Christmas! Gage is standing with the help of things now, and is getting more steady. He is crawling everywhere and getting into everything. His sleeping is still bad but he generally happy if Mom or Dad are around, lol. He is happy alot, unless hes fallen over or hungry. I love having them they truly make my life an adventure. Hope everyone had a happy halloween and is getting ready for a great thanksgiving!

Four Years Old!

Avery turned four years old the 22nd of October. I cant believe she is getting so big! I feel like just yesterday we brought her home from the hospital and at the same time It feels like weve had her forever. She is one of the greatest blessings weve ever been given and we are so glad to have her in our family. Avery is a little clown and a princess. She loves sparkles and pink, big dresses and high heels (up-shoes)but shes also a tom boy she loves sports, horses, blocks, swords, and tools. She sinds the craziest songs and dances everywhere. Life with Ave is fun, crazy, exhausting, and frustrating and we love every minute of it, we wouldnt have life any other way. We had her birthday party yesterday. My sister CC and her son tyson came up for the event, and we had a few of Aves friends over. We played a few games like eating the doughnut off the string, and did an egg spoon race. Both of these were very funny to watch. Then we played a little baseball and ate some yummy food. After that we painted pumpkins and then decorated monster cupcakes. After singins happy birthday and eating some cake we opened gifts, all of which Avery loved! I feel like it was a real success, and i know Ave loved it! Later that day Aunt Emily and Trace came over to visit and we went to the park and played some volleyball while the kids played. All in all Avery had an awesome birthday, thanks to everyone who came to celebrate with us! Happy Birthday little girl!

Well poor little Gage has been scooting everywhere and the other day the door got left open and he scooted himself right off the step and faceplanted into our cement porch. So sad, he has a red scratched nose and a good bruise on his forhead but he survived! Our tough little dude!

Temple

So we took avery to the temple since shed been begging us to go. She really wanted to go inside but it was a sunday so we couldnt. So we walked around the grounds and saw the fountains and the flowers and just enjoyed the scenery. Ave took the opportunity to run on the grass and roll down the hills, perfectly reverent activities to enjoy at the temple...=) Gage sat in the stroller and enjoyed the ride. When it came time to go Ave did NOT want to leave. In fact she made cord and I chase her for about 15 minutes before I finally caught her and we had to drag her to the car, and even then she didnt want to get in. lol We promised to come again often and she sadly left. Im so glad my little girl loves the temple, even if is only cause it looks like a castle and has fountains and hills lol.

Avery Got Her Ears Pierced!!

So this year for her birthday one thing avery really wanted was to get her ears pierced. I wasnt sure at first since she is so young, but she kept asking and talking about how she wanted her ears pierced for her birthday so she could wear pretty earings. So we decided for her birthday this year we could do it. We decided to do it today so she had some time to adjust to them before her birthday. She was such a trooper! She picked out her earings, pretty pink butterflys with a butterfly necklace (just happened to be her birthstone set)and sat down in the chair. The ladies cleaned her ears and set the dots, and even though it took three trys to get them even she sat there still and let them work. Then came time for the big moment. We had had the talk about how it would hurt a little but not for long, and how after we would need to keep them clean and she couldnt take them out for 6 weeks. Well she sat on my lap and held my hands and the ladies lined up the guns and BAM! She cried for about a minute and then they showed her her earings and she stopped. She loves her pink sparkly ears. The first thing she said when she saw them was she just wanted a dress to wear with them. I love my little girl! Daddy and gage stood near for support and got it on video (a horrible video but a memory!) She was so brave and now she loves her pretty ears. Avery your such a big girl! Afterwards we went and looked at pumpkins and of course she picked a pie pumpkin since it was small. lol

Whats New?

So whats new in the Wiltbank home? Oh not much. As some know we just moved...again. The owner of our rental place forclosed on his properties and so we were asked to leave. After about three weeks of stress we got lucky and found a place and moved in. Its a little smaller than our old place but more secure and has three rooms which is nice. Its also right next to our friends Ransom and Katie so the location is great! Id like to give a special thanks to Ransom, paul, Larry, and my mom for helping with the move, and to Katie for watching ave for us you guys really made it all happen thanks so much!!

Right after we moved I got to go on a two week trip, with my mom and my sister in law Megan and her two kids, to Nebraska to visit my sister and then to Oklahoma to go to Jessicas wedding then to vegas to get stuff together for a few days then back home. I swear we spent more time in the car than out of it but im so glad we went. The kids were great in the car suprisingly, and we had a great time. Visiting kenji was great we got to see the girls and go to the Childrens Museum. Ave loved picking Cadi up from school and all the kids had fun playing together. Oklahoma was beautiful. Im sad I didnt get to be by my friends side the whole weekend like I wanted to but Im so glad I got to be there with her for one of the most important days of her life. Jessica you truly are the best friend a girl could have and I am so happy for you! We also got to see Emma, Jannika, Tasha, Kristen, and Doug there. Avery was an excellent flower girl (pictures will be posted after i get them from my mom) and loved Walking down the isle and looking at Jessicas princess dress. She had a little too much fun at the reception and ran herself into a puke, but really it wouldnt have been official if she hadnt. lol
Then we dropped meg off in St george and returned to vegas. We all got sick but still had fun playing with tyson and hanging with aunt CC and Gma and Gpa. Ave was the only one brave enough to go swimming she just jumped right in (with her floaties and tube of course lol) and swam for an hour or two in the very cold water. We got to bring tyson up with us from vegas for the weekend and they had a blast playing while we tried to get the house back together in Provo.

Now we are home and getting ready for the holiday season to begin. Averys Birthday is soon, and she is so ready. She is such a big girl now I cant believe how fast she is growing. She loves to dance all the time and always wants to be in skirts anad dresses that are pink and sparkly. She also loves tools and fixing things and dinosaurs and horses. She cant wait to go riding again Nate! lol Gage is getting his first ooth, its just peeking through. He is 17 lbs now and getting so big. He can sit up all by himself and is really trying to crawl, but he is such a floppy kid. No standing for him he just bends but he can down food like a champ. Avery and Gage are best friends and love eachother so much. Well thats it for now! Hopefully something interesing will happen and i can post again soon.

Family Visits

So a couple weeks ago i got to go down to Vegas to visit family and let Ave do swimming lessons. It was great fun to see my Brother and Sisters and hang out with my nephews. Avery almost got swimming down, she just needs a little more bravery. Tyson was like a fish, he can swim now after two weeks, and "Ringles" did so good considering he just started to like the water a little while ago.

After vegas we got a visit from Gma and Gpa Wiltbank and Trist. It was so much fun to see them and be able to spend time with them. We went to the fair in Spanish fork and had a blast and Nate, trist, velda and steve got to float down the river! We were sad mike and ash couldnt come but hope to see them soon. Here are a few pics of the fun and ill try and post some more soon!

Also gage is rolliong over now both ways! Still working on sitting by himself but hes almost there aand he talks nonstop whether he is saying, "Ba ba bah bah." or screaming or making a raspy ahhhhhhhhhh in the back of his throat he is rarely quite lol.

Fishing and Dancing

So last weekend Cord and I decided to take Avery fishing. We got a tiny fishing pole and she was soo excited the whole week to go and catch a "tiny" fish because, in her words, 'we dont want a GIANT one.' lol So on saturday we packed up the cooler and gear and addi went with Nate, Em, Rans, Katie, and the kids to some river near spanish fork to fish. Even though the river was to fast and the water too high, we had some fun. Addi had a blast running all over and jumping in the water. This freaked ave out a bit since we had been telling her all week she would get swept away if she went in the water so she had a nice freak out when addi went in the water, and thought she was gonna get swept away. She was so worried about addi she wouldnt even try to fish, which was ok since we didnt catch any fish anyways. It was nice though to be outside and be able to be with friends and family.
After the river we tried a reservoir by Emily and Nates house, but that was like a huge beach party since everyone was swimming. The kids and Ransom braved the water though and swam a bit. Trace just loved the water lol. Im glad we all got to go and had so much fun!

The other day I was watching So you Think you can Dance and Glee with Ave and everytime some music came on she would start dancing. She really has some moves lol. Ive got to get her in a dance class. Here are some videos of her dancing.

Family BBQ

So today it was finally Sunshiney, so Emily and Nate decided we should have a BBQ up the canyon. We packed up our food and families and drove to a nice park, kinda busy but the weather was nice (if a little windy). Molly, Tyler and MJay came too. Nate grilled up the food and the guys played frisbee. Trace crawled all over the grass, only to have his hard worked ruined by nate returning him to his starting point. Ave climbed trees, ran around, tried to catch the frisbee, and played with Trace. Gage cried a bit then decided to be happy laying on the grass.

After eating the boys played some mroe frisbee and the girls went over by the stream so avery could throw rocks into the water, and her and trace could put there feet in it. All in all it was avery fun afternoon. Avery had sooooo much fun she fell asleep on the five minute drive home. Gage was out by nine. Thanks Em and Nate for planning a great BBQ!!!

Spring is here!...Oh wait no its not....

Well its been awhile and Ive been lazy so here is an update on our family. Gage is almost 4 months old and he doing great! Im guessing he weighs about 14 lbs we will find out in a few weeks. He is sleeping good and on a semi-schedule which is nice. The thrush is finally gone (i think) and hes so happy and smiley. He really is the sweetest baby. Avery is doing great! She loves her little brother and is such a helper (when she wants to be =) Avery is finally evening out for weight and height, and her speech gets better every day. She is also starting to love dancing and pretends to do karate. I love watching her little personality develope as she grows. She certainly has an attitude but she is so friendly and loving to everyone around her. She is a sunbeam now and loves her class. Its kinda funny her best friend in class is a little girl named Whitney. Cord is still in school and working. He is doing so much for this family right now and I am so greatful for him and proud. He starts doing ride alongs and clinicals soon so our schedule will get even worse, but it will be over soon and then hopefully he will find a job near family! As for me I am just being a mom trying to keep myself busy with projects and things so i dont go crazy. I ahve made some friends in our ward, the people here are pretty awesome! Im glad we live where we do right now and for the friends I have. I miss everyone and hope to see you all sometime soon!!

Sorry for the delay! Well I guess its time to announce, we had Steven Gage Wiltbank on Feb 4th at 6:16 pm. It went well and fast and for that we are grateful! The hospital and staff were great, it was a much better experience this time around, except for the longer stay in the hospital. Thankfully we didnt miss the superbowl though! Gage weighed 7 lbs even and was 19.5 inches long.

Thanks to everyone who made it to visit, it was good to see you all. Thank you Ransom and Katie for the pizza! Special thanks to Emily, Katie, and Ashley for watching Avery during my doctors appointments and my Mom and Velda and Emily for watching Avery while we were in the hospital, you were a great help! So far Gage is a great baby and I hope it stays that way. Avery took a min to warm up to him but now they are good friends. I think the hospital and tubes freaked her out at first lol. Well Cord and I made it Four years today! Its been a little crazy to say the least but I wouldnt change a thing! We have One child now and one due in a few weeks and Cord is starting Paramedic school moday! Its been a great four years and I cant wait for the next four, I love you honey!!!

Well Christmas is over once again! This year cord and I got to go to Vegas to see my family for the holiday. My sister Kennedy and brother Ryan were unable to make it, so it was just my parents, my sister and tyson, and us. It was fun though! Cord got to go golfing a few times, and we ladies got to play Santa for Ave and Tyson. CC went crazy with the stockings but it was a blast! The kids had so much fun and got a ton of cool presents! Avery has to be the slowest present opener ever. She rips small strips of paper off one at a time, then someitmes gives up once she can see enough of whats inside to know what it is lol. It was awesome to watch her and tyson with the presents now that they r finally starting to understand it.

Im also glad i got to see all my cousins, aunts/uncles, and grandmas! It was good to have dinner with Grandma Sorensen and uncle cory, and Im also happy we got to go open presents with my dads side of the family and see everyone! I want to send a special thanks to Carmen and Amanda Im so glad I got to see you both. I miss you girls!

We missed Cords family though! I hope everyone had a great Christmas and a happy New Year!

So after the New year we decided we should take avery sledding for the first time. We found some small hills to start on and she had soo much fun! She even went by herself, shes growing up so fast! Even i went a few times though it looked so fun.

As for our newest addition, I am due in five weeks! I cant believe its coming so fast. We have a name list finally and are now working on narrowing it down to two or three. Thanksgiving and Vegas

Sorry its been so long since I posted. Seems now that I have the time im too lazy to do it lol. Well for those that dont know Cord and I now live in Provo UT. Cord got a job up here and also got into paramedic school so we are excited to be moving on in the career field. Also Cord and I are expecting a little boy Feb 5th, still no name as of yet.

For Thanksgiving this year we drove down to Eagar. Everyone was there, at least for a bit, and we had a great time! It was good to see everyone even if we were all crammed into that house. =) I think my favorite part though was the black friday shopping. I didnt think anyone would want to go but Jen, Tammy, Emily, Brando and Nate all came, and even ryan got there to wait in line for the electronics for us. The men were awesome and watched our carts while we ran around trying to grab all the stuff we wanted. I think we ended up getting everything except one item so we made out pretty good! Wish I had pictures but there really wasnt time.

After that I took a trip to vegas for my cousins baby shower and to visit my family. Im proud to announce I won the belly size guessing game by using my own belly for measuring because we ar only about 3 weeks apart. It was great to see my cousins and aunts and grandma! While down there I got to spend time with CC Meg and my parents. It was good to see all the kids and get to know them better. We got to go to the Magical Forest which is a fun little fundraiser they do with lights and some rides for the kids. They had fun on the Merry go round and seeing all the lights and riding on the train. Thanks Gma and Gpa!! Well that is basically what we have been up to so far. Now only one week til Christmas, all the shopping is done and then off to visit the fam! Im so excited. We do miss you all in AZ and hope everyone has some happy holidays!

Well again its been awhile since my last post. Not much has happened. Cord and I have both been going to school and working, while avery has been growing. She is getting so big now, and so smart. I know everyone says it, but she really does suprise me every day with how fast she learns. She knows a good third of the letters in the Alphabet now and can recognize them. She also know colors and tons of animals! She is starting to sing too. SHe sings along with the little einsteins song. Its so cute! She has also developed some new quirks. SHe is definitely a child that prefers to be naked. She will keep her clothes on at other peoples homes or at the store but the second we get home off the clothes come and the siaper too. Since she refuses to wear a diaper I am taking small steps to start potty training. No major improvements in that department but we are at least working on it. Ah The Terrible Two's...

So as some of you have maybe heard, Avery and I had an adnventure on Saturday. I had heard from a friend that when transitioning a toddler from crib to bed that it helps to turn the knob around so you can lock the door so they cant get out of the room. Well cord and I tried this and it failed miserably, so we moved her back to the crib but forgot to switch the knob around. Well Saturday morning about 9 I went in to the room to turn on a movie, and lo and behold I turn around and Avery has locked the door and closed it with us INSIDE the room. So, for about an hour I searched the room for a bobby pin or anything i could use to open the door. I tried hangers, screws, even a nail I pulled out of the wall outside the window. I climbed outside and tried to get in other windows which of course were locked. ALl this time avery was offering her help and asking me to open the door. Well cord was not going to be homeuntil 430, and I had no cell, and I was NOT going to stay locked in there all day. So at my wits end, I decided to punch a hole through the door and unlock it. It worked. =)

Lesson learned: Dont turn the knob on a two year olds door. They will use it against you.

Halloween!!

Well Halloween has come and gone, i hope everyone had a great holiday! We did. We got to go over to Jerry and Helenas for a little party! We took Ave trick or treating for a little bit. She is not quite old enough to get it and was more nervous around the strangers than she was excited for free candy. She did get into GIVING candy tot eh trick or treaters though! Her and little Alan had a blast as Jerry and Helenas home was bombarded with masses of trick or treaters! They kept grabbing giant handfuls of candy to hand out to all the children. It was soo cute! We got to watch a movie and eat burgers! And the pumpin role I must say was absolutley delicious!! The best part of the night though was playing Taboo! Poor Mike was having the hardest time with it and the butterfly scenario was hilarious! You had to be there I think... Mike and Ash dressed up like white trash fro the party and Jerry was Wolverine. They were some pretty awesome costumes! Well that was our halloween. We had a good time and hopefully next year Ave will be more excited!

Well October has been crazy! It has gone by so fast, I can't believe its almost over! So here is what we have been up to. We finally got our backyard all done! We now have grass and flowers! Yay! My mom came down and helped us get the grass laid and the sprinkler/drip system all set up. It is so nice to be able to go outside and have grass! I love it!

Some highlights from this month are Cord and I got to take Ave and Addi down to Salt River a couple of times. They loved it! Avery loves water and got right in even though it was freezing! And Addi was very excited she kept swimming and jumping through the water.

We Also got to see Ryan and Velda for a little bit at Mike and Ashleys. It was nice to see them! Speaking of Mike and Ash I think Avery just loves them. Every time we hang out she loves to have pillow and punching fights with her uncle mike and aunt ash! It is so hilarious.

Averys birthday was this month. She turned two!! We invited folks over and had a partay! It was a little nuts with all the people in our tiny house but we made it work and had a great time! Raylin was hilarious, she just ate the whole time. She would even steal other peoples food and just down it, where does it all fit? Lol And her dancing! She was a highlight of the night. We also got to go to the park and play a little frisbee with all the kids. Thanks to everyone who came, Avery loved it!

For Averys birthday we got her a trampoline. She loves her JUMP as she calls it. Here are some pictures of her on it.

Another Vegas Weekend

So Ave and I flew down to Vegas again this past weekend for a double birthday party for my niece and nephew Rory and Aidric. It was very fun, we got to hang out and help get everything ready for the party. We got to see my grandma and aunts and uncles and cousins, as well as friends we hadn't seen in forever. Amy and Tim your little girls are so adorabale congrats! There were some downs though. Ave had a bit of trouble sleeping so we only got a few hours a night, but we made it through! Vegas and Sleep

So Avery has had a full weekend. We drove to Vegas and then up to Cedar to see Velsa and Steve, Emily, Nate, Mjay, Trist and Ransom. She went to bed late and ran around played some football with guys and got chucked around by the men in house. She loved every minute. She even saw some baby birds in a nest outside the house with her Aunt Emily. It was very fun. Well we drove back to Vegas and are now haing out with my mom. This morning we woke up and played and then swam and aftert hat Ave was so worn out she went right to sleep. Well after about 2 hours she woke up but was so tired I guess that she fell asleep right on my leg and then proceeded to roll all over a pillow on the floor, staying asleep the whole time. I thought it was funny so I am posting some pictures.

Well everyone our house is almost done!! The upstairs floor is almost done and we just have a little bit to paint and voila! I will actually have a HOME again. I am so excited.
Well Ave is doing great. She learns a new word everyday. She now says water, so yummy, wheres addi? there she is!, shoot, and cheese, whered it go?, teeth, balloon, and poop. We are working on potty training. She will sit on the toilet and wipe but wont go yet but thats ok! Im just proud of the improvements. :)
I just started school again this semester and hopefully will pass so I can graduate in the spring!! Well that is my update! Hope all is well with everyone! Here are some pictures of Ave.

Late night bloggin'...

So again it has been awhile! I finally have some pics to post. Our newest news is that our loft is almost done! I finaly get to paint and then put the floor in and voila! Our loft will be done! Im so excited! Avery is crazy as usual. Today at church she made it up to the stand twice during testimonies before I could catch her. I dont know if I should be proud she is so fast or depressed that i cant outrun my 2 year old. I swear I can't set her down without her running off. SHe loves to be chased and play hide and seek. lol SHe has learned some new words. Kitty (thanks to Handy Manny), Chocolate (she even knows where the syrup is), and Cord. Yup She calls daddy COrd. It was hilarious, i called up to him to tell him dinner was done and next thing I know Avery is yelling, "Cowd! Cowd!" Lol she calls him that all the time now. She had a really fun day at Rachels on Friday. She got to go swimming for a few hours and I hear she had a blast and even got burger king for the first time! Thank you so much Rachel! You are a life saver! She got a little burnt, but lets be honest she needs some sun! So that is whats up with us. Summer school is almost done! Im so excited! Thanks to Ash for hangin with me the other day and helping me with my FASFA so I can continue schooling lol. And for helping me get ideas for my loft! Maybe you can help me paint it! Its Been Awhile...

Sorry I have not posted since Valentines Day. =) We have abeen alittle busy with school, Ave, work and church. Its summer and Im still in school. Cord is taking a little break but still working. Ill get on later this week and post some pictures of the stuff we have been up to. Ave is almost 2 now and huge! She is in the 75th percentile for wieght and height. I on the other hand am on a diet, as Im sure some of you know. One week left! Im down 18lbs about and hopeing i can make it one more week! I want a Cinnabon! and ice cream and ribs! lol anything but veggies and chicken. Id even take a grape! lol Well wish me luck! Hope everyone is doing well. Valentine's Day!

Well it was Valentines day yesterday. Didn't really feel like Valentines because of course I got to work. It was busy though. So that was good and I got cut first so I got to spend some time with Cord and my mom. My mom visited this week. Thanks mom for all the gifts and taking care of Ave while we had to work. I love my mom. Im so glad when she visits. We got rid of our nasty entertainment center too and got a nice smaller one. Finally! My house may now start looking like a home instead of a place we just moved into. So how is everyone else? Avery is 15 months old i cant beleive the time went so fast. Well let me know how its going. Ill post some pictures soon.

HALLOWEEN!!

So this year is Avery's second Halloween technically but for all that matters it really was her first. We got her a Monkey costume and dressed her up and I went and took her Trick-or-Treating! I don't care if its weird to take a one year old Trick-or-Treating i believe you have to go! Well we had fun alot of our neighbors really decked out their garages and did haunted houses and just fun decorations. We got a ton of candy! The police were even out aptrolling and giving out glow necklaces! Well, I thought i'd been gone only an hour, but it turns out I'd been gone two! Cord had been driving around looking for us, I felt so bad! And to top it all off we got invited to our friends house and now couldn't go because it was too late! Oh my I felt horrible! I hope I can make it up next year!
But Avery had fun, and Cord and I got to hang out with eachother so it was ok. Hope everyone else had a spectacular Halloween!

October and Avery's Birthday

Well hello again everyone! Sorry it's been so long, we have been busy. Well alot has happened! Cord and I have traveled a bit. For conference weekend we went to Eagar, it was nice to see Tammy and the girls and Mike and Ryan and Trist. We have fun hanging out and listening to conference. We had a BBQ and played games. it got a little crazy....but it was a blast! Thanks Tammy for hanging with us!

Avery turned one this month! We went to Vegas to see my family, and all the new babies! (My sister Kennedy had a girl Rory, and my sister in law Megan had a little boy Aidric) They are soo cute! So while down there we had a little party for Avery. Family and friends came and we had cake, pizza and a good time. Avery got a few presents, thank you everyone for the gifts! They are great and Avery of course LOVES them! She got some clothes and toys and a really cool Alphabet caterpillar stuffed animal. =) She is almost walking now, soon we won't know what to do with her running around everywhere!

Also, this past week Steve came up and he and Mike helped Cord to extend our loft! It's not completely done yet, but it looks amazing and Cord and I can't wait to finish it! Thank you Steve and Mike for all your help!

Also, Cord and I just got a new calling in our ward. We are now Nursery workers! I know, Avery is gonna get to go into nursery a little early I guess. I hope its fun!

Halloween is coming up. I'll post some pics of Avery in her costume soon. She is soo cute! I put up some decorations, my halloween signs and of course spiderweb, which I thought looked cool until the wind blew it down. Lame.

So we had our family reunion this year. It was a blast! Cord got to golf, and I got to see my family and go visit the old ranch. We had huge dinners, and breakfast! Mmm... It was just fun to go and see everyone. Im jealous my cousin Taryn got to go repelling with my Uncle cory though. Avery loved being outside at the ranch. She was just laughing while crawling around in the grass attacking my little cousin Jansen. =) We found this little icecream/sandwhich shop there and it was sooo good!! I swear I ate there everyday. Below is a slideshow of the pictures I took!

Last Friday we celebrated Cords birthday! I dont have too many pictures from it because my camera was almost dead. It was fun though. I took Cord shooting at the range and we got to shoot pistols! It was fun, and then we picked Avery up at Johnny and Melina's (thank you for babysitting!!!) then all went over to the park to play frisbee. It was so nice to play again! i miss it. Then we headed over to Jennifers to BBQ and swim. Thank you Adam for grilling up the burgers! Everyone just hung out and watched Olympics or swam. it was fun. Sorry Jen for raiding your home til all hours but thank you so much for letting us use your house!

Well the concert was Wednesday August 20th. Cord and I got ready and drove the hour and a half to Glendale. Our seats were way up top so we couldn't really see much. So we went and got ourselves some T-shirts (long line!) then went back up and ast by Mike and Ash after Steve Winwood was done playing. Adam came over to see our seats, he was in a box with some billionaires and Nicole (lol) and we all decided we should sneak down to the front. So we went down and walked right past the little ticket guy and wandered around trying to find seats, when Tom Petty came out! So we ran to the front and were right there about 3 rows back for the opening song!!! It was amazing!!!!! After about 2 songs though the ticket guy came up and asked us for our tickets then told us to get out once he realized we didnt have them lol. So we followed Mike thinking he was gonna go to the back to find seats but he just ran right on out. So we went back to our normal seats in the bird nest to enjoy the rest of the concert. It was stil fun because we had some crazy folks dancing in front us. Poor guy had No moves left! Oh well.
Thank you Jessica for babysitting so late!!! It was so much fun!

Well August is here now and July is past. Not much has gona on this week, Cord has been studying for his CNA which he takes tomorrow, and Ive been cleaning and working. Avery is doing just fine, just growing and moving. She took her first tumble down the stairs yesterday. That was no fun. It was only a few stairs, though, and she is ok.

Well I have a few pics of when roniboob was down, but only of Ave not of Roni. lol

Isnt she cute? lol I know they are not the best pics, I had to take them with my phone.

Above is a video of Ave crawling around at the park. We take her there alot, but this is the first time she has crawled in the grass there. She doesn't really know what to think of the grass lol. it looks like she doesn't like to touch it but is still happy to be outside.

Ok so sorry its been forever! I have no pictures becasue I lost my camera charger and so i cant use my dead camera. Sad! Well Cord and i went to Vegas a few weeks ago to attend the sealing of my brother and his wife. I almost didn't get to go because of course I forgot my recommend. How do you ask? I have no idea. But luckily I got ahold of the bishop and he called the temple to vouch for me. The weekend was fun though, cord and i hit up a casino, we had a BBQ, and hung out with the fam.
Avery is getting so big! She is 9 months now and is standing and walking along everything. She gets into everything now too! She makes a new sound too, can you guess what it is? Dadadadada! She doesnt know she is saying da-da but it sounds like it. =)
Cord and i FINALLY finished the cabinets, and our backyad has some semblence of a lawn. More weeds than lawn though. lol Cord takes his CNA test this week, I hope he passes so he can become a CNA. That would be nice.
Roniboob was down here this week. He came for a few days and we had a BBQ at Johnny's after swimming at a public pool. The guys did dives and crazy flips off the high dive, while Melina and I hung out with Raylin and Avery. It was fun! Then on Wednesday, Cord, Roni, Willis and I went to see The Dark Night! It was great! I liked it alot. After that my mom came in to meet me and we went shopping. We got Ave some toys and stuff it was nice! Ave likes her big girl toys too. =)
My mom stayed til Friday and then had to go back for megans shower. i wish I could have gone but sadly I had to work. Thanks for coming MOM!!!
Today was fun. I woke up and made cookies and cleaned then we went to church. Ave gets real loud in church so I spent most of it walking around, lol. But I have finally made some friends so it was cool.

Vegas

So as you saw below my little sister had her baby. He is soo adorable as babies are. I am so proud of her. I can tel she will be a great mom! We had a good time in Vegas. Cord was sick and then I got sick for about a day with some 24 hour stomache flu. Now we all have coughs (wierd to go with a stomache flu buyt there ya have it) but are feeling better. We got to visit with everyone and swim. Ave loves the water! Im glad for that since we do live in a desert lol. Well other than that we didnt do much. On our way out of town Cord and I ate with CC and Donald and I got a tray of waters dumped on me, but other than that it wasnt too crazy. How is everyone else?

Our week in Eagar

So this past week Cord and I went to eagar to visit. The first night we all went camping at Brown sawmill. it was a little chilly but not too bad. We girls went on a walk, and then we all just hung out by the fire and talked. Velda made us hobo-dinners which we cooked very slowly in the fire, but it was worth the wait! Thanks Velda!

The next morning it was really windy so we got up at like 430 and packed up. Then we had breakfast at Velda and Steve's. It was Alex's birthday so we made a cake and then Brando grilled up some pork chops! Then Alex blew out her candles and opened her presents. She got some good stuff if I do say so myself. =) Then we all watched some Brian Reagan.

The next day we went over to see Mike and Ash and Cord helped the guys put in a new door at their grandmas. Then we went shooting! The guys were so funny with their pups running around after them. Then we went in to town and ate at Brando's. Soooo good!

That night Cord and I went and played some basketball with Mike, Ash, Trist, and Steve Tucker. We won some and lost some but it was a blast!

The next day it was time to leave but we snuck in a little early morning walk and then sunshine smoothies at Sonic with Mike and ash. Thank you to Mike, Ash, Velda, and Steve for a very fun week!!!

Family Reunion

SO this weekend was the Allred family reunion. We had it here in Mesa and it was soo much fun! I don't think we got much sleep, it was kinda non-stop action. For us anyway. That first day we all woke up and went to meet at Jen and Nates to head out to the lake. We got out alittle later than planned but we did get out there. It was cold and rainy so the lake was empty but it didnt stop us from tubing!

On Sunday we all went to the temple for family pics and to see the Joseph Smith movie. It is a great film, and we were able to get some good pics.

On MOnday Morning a bunch of us went out to paintball again. The Trist was ready for some action. He won the night before when it was only him and I. I could barely see it was soo dark and I was checking to see if he was where I was getting ready to shoot and Wham! He shot me right in the facemask. Quick little bugger...

Mike was ready to get out there and hurt somebody. He got beat up pretty bad during the game. He got shot in the neck and it startd bleeding and fell over and twisted his ankle too, poor guy. Cord got shot many times too. Nate got him a couple times int he side. His welts are almost black, its nasty but worth it. After that game, Nate and Cord attacked Mike Ryan and Trist as they came back in. Lol it was a free for all and "some people" got hurt pretty bad...

Nate and Emily put off the drive home to paintball with us. EMily got it in the face. She looks soo sad lol. Im glad they stayed though! They ended up leaving after and then coming back again for breakfast, they just couldnt stay away. =)

After everyone left Nate, Jen, Cord, Weston and I all went 4-wheeling. We had soo much fun running through mud puddles and over rocks! Nate and Jen almost got stuck in a huge puddle lol. Thanks to Jenna, G-ma mary and Velda for babysitting even though it got a little nuts! You guys are great!

Cedar and Paintball

Well Last weekend Cord and I went to cedar to paintball and hang with Ash, Mike, Emily, MJay and Jordan. It was soo fun! As you can see we played some paintball. It was a little toasty out but we endured the heat to have the pleasure of shotting eachother. lol

Cecily's Shower

Well I have alot I need to post lol I am slow I know! A few weeks ago was my little sister Cecily's baby shower! It was a blast. I flew down thursday and hung out with everyone and helped set up and everything. Ave had fun on the plane and we all had a good time at the shower

I know its been awhile so sorry for anyone who reads my blog lol. Well not much has happened since my last post. Cord and I have officially begun the renovations on our home. We began with the cabinets as you can see in this photo our kitchen is a little crazy. I love the color though! We went for antique white and we have had a few messups but all in all i think we r doing okay. My mom came down for a few days to help us out. Thank you mom!!! SHe always does so much for us!

For this weekend Saturday after work we went and hung out with Johnny and Melina! It was fun! We ate pizza and played settlers. Avery did so good! I was so proud. Poor thing got pretty tired though and just konked out.

Melina is about ready to be done i could see. I understand Melina, its almost over! Yay!

Speaking of babies, my sister Cecily is due in June! Im sooo excited! She is having a little boy, name is still not picked yet, but he is gonna be soo cute see!

O i cant wait! Well, If anyone knows me they now i have this thing about making myself face my fears (not necessarily large fears like bears and murderers, but little ones like stage fright and jumping off the wall lol) So sunday we went to our ward for only the first part of sacrament meeting. I wont lie, I totally forgot it was fast sunday! Im used to not fasting from being pregnant and I have missed every fast sunday so far. I need help! lol SOMEONE remind me puh-leeze! Well anyways we went to our ward because Cord had to say the opening prayer. Well as were sitting there cord turns to me and says if i have to say the prayer you have to bare your testimony. My own little prompter lol. Well that got me thinking. I hadn't bore my testimony in probrably 6 years! So i decided to do it. It took me awhile to get up but I did! It felt soo good. It was really short but its done and now hopefully i wont be so scared to get up now! SO that was it for us. Lets hope this week goes well!

Oh and HAppy Birthday Emily, Mike, Matt, and Ryan! And Anyone else i missed im sure there are more I just cant remember all these May Birthdays!!!

Yesterday was fun. I drove in to town and Cord and I met up with Ransom and went over to meet Yumi and Jordan. Then we all went bowling! Super fun. I cant remember who lost but I know i got a 133 which is my highest score ever! Then we went and picked my dad up from the airport. He flew in to take us to the Suns vs. Trailblazers game. Jordan came too and we all had a good time! We won of course and now its time for the Playoffs! We play the Spurs and I hope we woop some trash!

Well, Cord FINALLY finished his CNA so we went to Eagar to visit. It was fun and nice to get away for the weekend. Both of us die in the city. lol On fiday we visited the Finchs. We had fun chatting with them! I love Seths Then we drove to Show low to see Leatherheads with the fam. Good movie! That night We got to see Ash and Kaleb and their little boy who is sooooo cute!

Four Wheeling

We watched conference with Velda and Steve. Great talks! And it was soo awesome to be a part of sustaining our new prophet Monson! Is it wierd to anyone else that Hinckley isnt our prophet anymore? Im sure Monson will be amazing though!

On saturday We got to see Kenyon and his girlfriend and her little girl who is adorable. She is 2 and she picked me to drag around it was fun.
We went four-wheeling a little bit, I wish we could have gone more. I love to 4-wheel!

Saturday night Tammy's girls had a gymnastics recital. It was cute and the girls did a great job!

On Sunday we watched some more conference and went fourwheelin again. We drove up past the goodmans and fourwheeled then stopped and went on a little walk. I miss doing stuff like that. ON our way home we almost ran out of gas but thankfully we made it!

Then we drove back home. I was sad to go.

Well this is a long time in the coming but a few weeks ago we drove to Cedar to visit Mike and Ash. We had soo much fun! We stayed up pretty late chatting and watching movies. We also went out a bit and 'hiked' around. =)

While we were up there Ash and i drove down to St George to get Ave meds and stopped by the pound to look at puppies and came home with a puppy for Mike. They have since named her Cozy. She is soo cute! We all took the dogs out with us to hike around and had so much fun. It was great seeing the boys and their dogs.

American Idol

Well my day was an okay one today. I have had a swollen milk duct for about three days now and I think its making me sick (if that is possible) i woke up with a killer headache but it faded after a bit. Avery was good today. We are trying to get her to roll over but she kinda just lays there lol (pictured above).

So yeah we got ready and then since im such a worry wart we went shopping so we are ok during the trucker strike. Cord met us at the Walmart, which was great i miss seeing him. He was a little angry though, he had some trouble at work. He told them that he has to leav by 4 everyday so he can take avery from me and they agreed to this. Well today they tried to give him a route that got done at 430 and he said he couldnt cause he had to take Ave and they got all mad at him. Still confused about that one.

Well tonight at work it was American Idol Tuesday. I dont know how many of you follow American Idol, but Brooke White is from Mesa and so her family comes in and eats and hwatches American Idol. It gets pretty rowdy. Poor Joni served them and most just ordered drinks and sat there for a couple hours. Lame. If you do that lave a decent tip because you are taking up their table so you are pretty much their only source of money for the whole night. I had nice tables so that was good.

Other than that it was a pretty uneventful day. HOw was everyone elses day?

I would either go on a tour of Europe. I have always wanted to go to Scotland and Ireland to see their old castles and then to France, Italy, England etc. to see all the wonderful art work and buildings, try the food, go shopping... Cord could come too I guess.... lol

Hello everyone! I know it has been awhile since my last post but I finally have something I need to share. Ok I guess its more like vent... So this past week I worked a lot of shifts. The tip have not been very good, a lot of 3 or 4 dollar tips which let me tell you do NOT pay the bills. So in spite of the fact that the tips haven't been good it had been an okay week until Saturday night. I walked in to work 10 min early so i could finish getting ready and discovered I had already been sat because the ladies wanted a table that just happened to be in my section. So I ran and got ready and greeted my table with my usual cheer only to discover that they were RUDE! I have been treated like a 'waitress' before but never like a slave. I carried their 8 drinks and two plates of bread (because apparently it should have been magically waiting for them) out and they didn't reach to grab them or move anything to help me. Okay so i blew that off llke maybe they were too into their conversation to notice. But every time i brought them something i needed to get them something else, so my other tables probably felt neglected but I think i did okay. So when they were done i brought the bill and wile they were sitting there chatting their children were climbing all over the seats and blinds and running over to unoccupied tables and dumping salts and ripping up the flatware. My manager almost came over but they saw him and got up to leave. So i went to close out their bill and yes they left me $1.17 tip on a $60 dollar bill. I was so angry! And i never get angry at people who i serve, i love serving. But as soon as they left I was fine. OK well enough of that. I hope eveyrone else had a better week than I!

Valentines Day

As we all know it Valentines day yesterday. A day loved by many and dreaded by more...lol just kidding. So I hung out with Ave all day and then went to work. It was insanely busy! I wish I would have had more tables though. I didn't make a ton but I did not do that bad either. Our takeout was busier than we expected and poor Stacie was the only one on takeout. She did double the sales we normally would have on any busy day. So our kitchen was totally overwhelmed with all the takeout and then the food odered in. It was lik one kitchen serving 2 full sized restaurants! Luckily I did not have any mistakes, but it did take awhile for my tables to get their food. Thats to be expected though. =) O well hope fully tonight will be busy but not crazy. How was everyone else's Valentines Day?

Las Vegas!

So I went to Las Vegas last weekend to visit my family and for Cadi's 2nd birthday. The airport was fun I had to practically strip down and then wake Avery up to go through security lol which was fun. She slept the whole way there though and wasn't too bad on the way back. We had alot of fun! Cadi got a ton of gifts and we all ate ourselves into oblivion! lol Im glad I got to see Ryan and Meg too. Its fun to be around them all especially now that they are all expecting lol.
Avery loved the attention! i have pictures i just need to get them off my camera. Ill post some and then the others later.

Mike and Ash picked me up from the airport and took me to my car. Thanks again! I hope we get to go again soon. I miss me familia! I miss RV too. Cord is taking a class on weekends so we can't go anywhere. lame! But itl be over soon.

True Fans
Well this weekend was fun! My parents came down for a day or two and we got to hang out, and Cords family was down as well. On saturday I went to potato barn with Velda and Steve and then again with my parents. poor Avery had to be carted around all day but she didnt mind lol. Im glad my parents got to see her! i miss them and being able to share with them all the cute stuff she does so much. On Sunday we went to church and then watched the Superbowl! Awesome game, and the Giants won so yay! Mike and Jordan came to join cord and i and his family. it was fun we ate pizza and wings and i am sure everyone had at least 5 sodas lol.
This week I finally made an appointment for Avery to get her chekced for acid reflux and colic. Im sure she has both the poor thing. She gets pretty fussy at night and isnt always great furing the day but we love the good times. =) It's funny, I don't feel like she is an extremely hard baby (although Cord assures me she is) but when i compare her to others she is not easy that is for sure. i don't want to complain though, I have beautiful girl who just has issues with her tummy.
We went to get her shots the other day and I swear those people WANT to make these babies cry. She was asleep and I made the comment " maybe she will stay sleep" and the lady replied " oh no she wont" in a very sinister sounding tone. And then she Jabbed those giant needles into her poor little legs. She DID cry but only til the lady was done. And then we got her some tylenol for the pain. She got a mild fever but is ok now. She has a runny nose though.

She has started smiling and just recently began laughing. lol Its so cute when she wakes up laughing. Its fun to watch her discover he hands and learn to grab. i feel like a fool because i spend most of my day making rediculous faces trying to make her smile and laugh. It is so cute though i cant help it! i hate going to work because i miss her but at least i am with her most of the time.
I wonder when she will get hair, she is so bald except for her little mullet she has rockin in the back. Oh well, that is all I have for now. If you have any comments about ways to help with reflux or colic let me know.

The other day Avery had her first HORRIBLE day. She cried from 3pm to 9pm I could not get her to calm down for anything. Lucky for me though before I went ape crazy my mother in law came down to visit her daughter and she was able to calm her down. She just had some gas. She has been beter since but still has some problems. I get nervous now though everytime she cries i pray she will stop at some point... lol

For Halloween this year we went and hung out with Mike Ash Adam and Nicole. We just chatted and hungout but it was nice to be out of the house and visiting friends. I took Avery to the doc for her weight check before though and I forgot her costume!!! I felt so bad! It is a cute costume! Oh well we have pictures of her in it, and I guess it doesn't matter because we didn't take her trick or treating anyways. She is too little.

Sleep

So I know that they tell you before you have kids that you'll never sleep (and I think this is partially true) So can I just say I am glad that so far Avery sleeps very well? Sometimes she has some trouble getting to sleep but once she is down she sleeps through the night only waking up to eat. Its kinda sad that Ill never have another undisturbed nights sleep, but lets be honest it IS kinda my fault lol! My advice to everyone: read the WHOLE book don't just skim. lol Oh well Im just glad she is here, and sleep can come when Im dead, or well ya know what I mean lol...

A Name...Finally!!!

Ok So finally after being alive for almost three days we have picked a name! Avery. Im so glad. lol The poor thing had no name, she must have been confused. =) She is sleeping better now thank goodness. My mom came down this weekend. It was such a relief to have her here. I miss her and my family alot and so when they visit its just nice. And of course she always helps out so much and that is always great. I love help! Cords family was down too. All the men in his family went to the ASU game saturday night and had a blast cause it was a great game! We won 31 to 20 after everyone thought we couldnt handle their offense! What now!? It was good. The women folk hung out at Jennifer's it was fun! We ate ribs and chatted and played with babies! It was fun! And we got Avery a little costume for Halloween. I wanted to dress her as a monkey but I am too lazy to make one and i cant find one anywhere! But it would be soo cute! I am sad I cant go to ryan and megans reception. They did it on a weekday so we cant go because we have some large tests and I just had a baby lol. Oh well, the pumpkin carving looked like a ton of fun and i want some of the candy! Preferrably paydays or almond joys ok!? and Kit kats lol and tootsie rolls.

Our Little Family

Well folks it's done! We had our baby! She was born on Tuesday in the evening. They induced me, and the birthing part was very quick and the labor too. lol She weighs 6lbs 1oz. She is very cute though. They let us go after 24 hours, she is perfectly healthy and I am fine other than some pain and flu-like symptoms. The first night home was fun lol. She had some trouble going "poopie" for the first few times and was not too happy. I think i got maybe 2 hours sleep sitting in our living room chair. lol She has slept well today though! Ive been trying to wake her but it isnt working so well. Oh well we will see how tonight goes! lol Thanks for all of your congrats!

Dilated

Well, as some of you know as of monday I am dilated at 4-5cm and 80% effaced. At first I thought this meant I was hours or days away from labor, but apparently you can walk around for weeks like this. My doctor told me to stay close to home but still go about as normal. lol yeah like I can stay CLOSE to home with work and what-not. Well, I am still pregnant with 2 weeks to go until D-day. My co-worker Jen wants me to hang on as long as possible since we are losing the other employee and still have not found a replacement. I may go today, though. I have been having contractions for a litle while and I am trying to measure them so it may be the day! Part of me wants to just have it done now! I want to see what she looks like! But then again, I still want days with just Cord and I ya know? Where we don't have a baby. But I am sooo excited to have her out and I know she will come when it's time lol. We still dont have everything up. Cord got the dresser together and I have all her clothes washed and put away. Our hospital bags are packed and the carseat is waiting to go into the car. So we are ALMOST set lol. House still needs to be cleaned. Im so lazy!

Well, Cord and I finally got TV. We have not had TV at all during our marriage. We usually just watch movies, but there is something to be said for TV. I like being able to watch the Games or just turn on a good show when you need to just sit and relax. We don't really watch TV alot even though we have it now but I feel like our house is actualy a house now. Sad huh? lol oh well, just thought I would show some appreciation to the TV, so Kudos!

Ok so why are people so mean? I went to work today expecting it to be another slow day, but no. I had four people come in this morning (that is alot surprisingly). All of them had seen our add in the apartment guide, which hasn't updated our prices yet, and so they were very angry that our prices were higher than listed. I had one lady call before she came in and she missheard me on the phone. She thought the apartment was 541 instead of 605.41. lol She walked out, very angry. (NO apartment complex in this city is offering rates that low) I think I may have made one lease today though. A very...abrupt? lady who complained alot. I think I overcame all her objections though. I hope I did lol
I also got alot put away at the house today! Yes be proud. I did something! lol

The Lake

This weekend Cord and I were invited to the lake by his sister Jennifer. I won't lie at first I didn't want to go. I hate going somewhere where I won't know what exactly we will be doing and how long we will be gone. But we went and it was vey fun. In my family a trip to the lake was an event, but cord's sister lives really close to one and they have a boat so they just up and go on a whim. They went cliff jumping, tubing, and wake-boarding. It was fun to watch. I couldn't participate lol but it was fun to be on a boat! And I did get to hold the twins, so that was fun.
